Random Wednesday: Priorities

1. I'm giving up Facebook. My promise was to give it up for a week. I only failed once. I'm ashamed that my willpower is so weak that I HAD to check it. Did I find anything cool on my "give in check?" NO! Same ol' Like this picture because I want a puppy, Like this picture if you don't want to go to Hell, Like my picture because I went to the club this weekend and I'm showing my boobies. Wow, I am addicted to what now? Yeah, I'm definitely going to do this.

2. I have 5 drafts of unfinished posts in my Blogger. I write them during my lunch, on my phone, or when I'm on the loo, but I'm big on pictures and I can't upload pictures quickly at any of those times. I like to post lots of pictures because I like blogs with lots of pictures. I would rather gawk at pictures than read sometimes. I'm a first grader apparently.

3. Tonight, I will be making Pineapple Fried Rice, but with quinoa. All I can think about is that I'm going to hate it. I tried quinoa and I'm not a fan of the texture. I want to like it, mostly because I bought a big box of it and I don't want to waste it. If you have any recipes that I might fancy, please pass them to me.

4. Joaquin is starting to get a little too attatched to me. Sometimes he wants just me and only the warmth of my arms. I love it.

5. I really hope my dinner turns out edible.

6. I'm not posting pictures today. The first grader in me is crying.

  1. I understand your Facebook addiction. I actually deactivated my account last week thinking that I was done too. However, I couldn't get over not knowing what was going on on Facebook and I was back on in a little less than 48 hours. I agree that there isn't anything super important on Facebook, but sometimes it's just nice to have a good time waster like Pinterest. Also, I tried a Pineapple Fried Rice dish at Table for Two (near the Plaza) and it was just so-so. Have you tried it? Hope your dish turns out better!

  2. You can give up FB for a week, I know you can!

Maybe you should try cooking the quinoa in chicken broth. I made quinoa last night, had it for lunch, and may have it for dinner... So sad, no variety. I'm sure it will turn out yummy!

  3. I totally do the same thing with my blog! I come up with so many ideas (mostly during my 3am feedings) but can't quite get them down on paper with an infant in one arm and my ipad in the other. I hope your dinner turned out great! And I didn't miss the pictures :)

  5. I'm with you in the "not such a big fan of quinoa" club - my husband and son have forbade it from the kitchen though, so it's not an issue anymore - however I will cross fingers and toes for you that you enjoyed your dinner!! :)

  6. Girl I gave up Facebook too! Soooo freeing. But there's this weird little voice in the back of my head sometimes that tells me that I NEED it... For my blog's sake, for my social life's sake, for... Goodness knows what! So proud of you for doing it too. I only missed it in the first 48 hours of getting rid of it and now I don't think twice about it! (Although Instagram is another story)

Try putting a fresh jalapeno and some chicken stock in your quinoa. The jalapeno's hot spiciness is cooked out, but it gives a fun zest to the grain instead of it's plain taste. :)

I want to know what you think...no really I do! Leave a comment, question, or just a hello. It'll make me SMILE!
